Nando Valoi's Dance is in the process of building a pre-school in the large suburb Matola, one hour from the Mozambican capital Maputo. A project aiming to contribute to the Mozambican society by creating a stable and secure start in life for the children of the neighbourhood. The project is looking at, and is inspired by Swedish pre-schools aiming to create a fusion of the Mozambican and Swedish methodologies, mixing the best from both worlds. In the evening time, the pre-school will function as a cultural center for the youth and adults of Matola, offering educational and cultural activities. Both music and dance will be very present in both day time and evening activities and the focus on gender equality should always be present in Mãe Madalena.
The pre-school is aiming to play an important role in the children's lives and in the phase of their intellectual and psychosocial development. It will be a safe platform for children in the early stage of their life where they can grow, learn and develop. Pre-school Mãe Madalena wants to bring a smile on the face of the Mozambican children with the motto; "Let's transform lives together"

The cultural center's objective is to organize activities, courses and study circles contributing to the personal growth and creativity, competence increase and growing skills of the young adults and adults in Matola.
