​The construction of
Mãe Madalena
​
This project started with a strong drive and passion to create something meaningful in the growing neighbourhood Txumene in Matola, a suburb of the Mozambican capital Maputo.
The vision of contributing to childrens early stage in life and creating new opportunities and jobs for the people and especially the women of the neighbourhood grew stronger and took form in a project plan. On an empty building plot the construction started and the birth of the pre-school Mãe Madalena.
